Planning a 3-week trio tour through Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand by yourself may be difficult, so it’s best to find a reliable travel agency to do this. That’s when I came to BestPrice Travel. My travel consultant, Ms. Hang Moon, was incredibly patient, responsive, and detail-oriented. She made the booking process smooth and stress-free, answering every question and ensuring our itinerary matched our preferences.

The tour was exceptionally well organized. From the moment we landed in Hanoi to our final days in Bangkok, the entire experience was thoughtfully curated. Every destination was unique, offering a perfect mix of culture, history, and relaxation.
The itinerary was packed with must-see landmarks and authentic local experiences in each country. We wandered through the ancient streets of Hanoi Old Quarter, cruised on the stunning Halong Bay, explored Angkor Wat, and indulged in the vibrant street food of Bangkok. Each stop was carefully planned, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the essence of Indochina without feeling rushed.

Service Review – The Good and the Not-So-Good
What We Loved
1. Itinerary Delivery
The itinerary was meticulously planned, aligning perfectly with what was advertised, with a great balance of sightseeing and leisure time. Each destination was carefully chosen, they are all must-see attractions of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand, ensuring we experienced the best of each country.
Meals during the journey allowed us to taste the delicious dishes of Vietnam and Cambodia, adding a delightful culinary dimension to the journey. Transportation was excellent, with drivers who safely drove us from one point to another, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Overall, the tour delivered on its promises, offering a well-rounded and memorable experience.
2. Accommodations
During our journey, the hotels exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and cleanliness. The hotels were clean and comfortable, offering a pleasant retreat after each day’s activities. Our Halong Bay cruise was a standout experience – incredible staff, breathtaking scenery, and a well-paced itinerary. The staff on the cruise were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a memorable stay.
3. Tour Guides
Every guide was not only knowledgeable and professional but also genuinely passionate about sharing local insights. They ensured we had a smooth, enjoyable experience while sharing fascinating stories about each destination. Their knowledge of the history and culture enriched the experience, providing depth to each location.
The guides in Hanoi and Hoi An were accommodating, though the latter had some language barriers. Guide in Ho Chi Minh City stood out for his fluency and historical knowledge. The Cambodia guide was the best, offering exceptional service and photography skills. Guide in Thailand was flexible but needed a deeper understanding of Thai history.
4. Responsiveness and Hospitality
A special mention goes to Ms. Hang Moon, who was always available to assist, making our journey stress-free. Any minor concerns we had were addressed promptly and efficiently. The attention to detail and willingness to accommodate special requests enhanced our overall satisfaction with the tour. Her dedication to customer service was evident throughout the trip, from the planning stages to the conclusion of the tour.
What Could Be Improved
1. Repetitive Itinerary Stops
We visited similar handicraft workshops in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, which felt redundant. In Chiang Mai, two silver pagoda visits were scheduled back-to-back, which seemed unnecessary.
2. Accommodation Issues
Most hotels were excellent, but the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City had some service issues. The reception staff was unhelpful and declined a request for an extra pillow. The Chiang Mai hotel lacked proper ventilation, making our stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the high cost of bottled water in the room was inconvenient.
Final Ratings
Itinerary: 9/10
The 3-week tour was meticulously organized, showcasing the highlights of both countries. The itinerary included must-see destinations, providing a comprehensive experience. However, certain activities felt repetitive, such as multiple temple visits in one excursion, which could be streamlined for a more varied experience.
Food & Drinks: 8/10
The culinary aspect of the trip was largely delightful, offering a taste of local flavors. Nonetheless, some meals were less satisfying, possibly due to the selection of tourist-oriented restaurants that lacked authentic flavors.
Tour Guides: 8/10
The tour guides were generally very good, providing informative and engaging commentary throughout the journey. While most guides were excellent, some had better storytelling abilities and engagement skills than others, leading to a slight inconsistency in the overall guiding experience.
Overall, our 3-week Indochina tour with BestPrice Travel was an incredible journey filled with unforgettable experiences. The itinerary was well-paced, the accommodations were mostly fantastic, and the service was top-notch. While a few minor aspects could be improved, they did not take away from the amazing memories we made.
If you’re considering a Vietnam tour package or a multi-country adventure in Southeast Asia, I highly recommend BestPrice Travel for a smooth, enjoyable, and well-planned experience.
