It started as a small experiment. I wanted to see if I could use ChatGPT software and Claude language model to create a premium Notion template that people would actually pay for. I priced it at $197, figuring I’d sell a few dozen copies. Instead, I sold over 600 — bringing in $120,000 in less than a year — without running ads or hiring a designer.

I Sold a Notion Template for $197 and Made $120K using ChatGPT for product design
The first step was figuring out what template would actually sell. Instead of guessing, I used ChatGPT software to analyze popular Notion marketplaces and Reddit threads to identify unmet needs.
Prompt I used:
“Analyze the top 50 selling Notion templates on [marketplace]. Identify gaps in the market where demand is high but supply is low. Suggest 5 product ideas with target audiences.”
In five minutes, I had a shortlist of profitable niches. One idea — a comprehensive business operations dashboard for solopreneurs — stood out.
Once I locked in the idea, I used ChatGPT to design the core layout, database relationships, and automation structure inside Notion. It didn’t just list features — it created a step-by-step build guide I could follow.

While ChatGPT handled the bulk of the architecture, Claude language model stepped in to make it user-friendly. Claude restructured my original workflow into a logical, easy-to-navigate flow and added onboarding instructions that made new users feel confident from the first click.
Prompt for Claude:
“Rewrite these instructions for clarity and brevity. Make them sound like a friendly guide walking the user through setup step by step.”
The end result was a polished, premium product that looked like it came from a pro design agency.
I Sold a Notion Template for $197 and Made $120K with Gemini and Grok chatbot for audience targeting
Gemini gave me a competitive edge by pulling up fresh trends and pain points in my target audience’s world. It analyzed relevant communities, noting exactly what people were complaining about in their current workflows.
Grok chatbot then transformed my product descriptions into copy that spoke directly to those frustrations — with language and references my audience recognized.
Gemini prompt:
“Identify recurring productivity challenges faced by solopreneurs managing client work and personal projects in 2025.”
Grok prompt:
“Write sales copy for this Notion dashboard that speaks directly to those pain points and positions it as the perfect solution.”
Chatronix made the whole build-to-launch cycle faster
I ran all of these prompts through Chatronix, which let me use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok chatbot, Perplexity AI, side by side.
Turbo mode was a game-changer. The One Perfect Answer feature combined the best parts of all six outputs into one ready-to-use final draft — whether it was a product description, a customer onboarding flow, or an email sequence. No more scanning through six separate responses.
That single feature cut my prep time in half and let me launch in weeks instead of months.
I Sold a Notion Template for $197 and Made $120K – my launch playbook
I didn’t launch to a cold audience. I built anticipation with a 3-week content drip:
- Week 1: Shared behind-the-scenes of the build process on LinkedIn and X.
- Week 2: Teased screenshots and asked my audience for feedback on features.
- Week 3: Dropped early-bird pricing to my email list and social followers.
Every step of this was AI-assisted: ChatGPT generated the content calendar, Claude edited it for tone, and Grok wrote the engagement hooks.
Prompts that made the $120K possible
Product idea validation:
“List underserved niches in the Notion template market with high purchase intent.”
Template architecture:
“Design a Notion workspace for [use case] with database relationships, filters, and automations.”
User onboarding:
“Write a friendly, step-by-step onboarding guide for first-time users of this template.”
Marketing copy:
“Write a high-converting product description highlighting unique benefits over competitors.”
Launch content plan:
“Create a 3-week pre-launch marketing schedule with daily social media post ideas.”

Why this works for anyone, not just template sellers
You don’t need to be a Notion power user or a professional designer. This process works for any digital product — course, eBook, SaaS, or toolkit. The One Perfect Answer feature in Chatronix makes sure you’re always working from the best version of every idea, without wasting time sifting through mediocre drafts.
I’ve already started two new templates using the same system, and the early sales numbers look just as strong.
